Wigan Masonic Group Support Local Hospice

On the 9th May the Chairman, Vice Chairman and the Assistant Secretary of Wigan and District Masonic Group were pleased to visit the Wigan and Leigh Hospice, where they presented a cheque for £700 on behalf of the Group.

Each of the 19 Lodges and 8 Chapters within the Group had contributed towards the donation, which will be used to support the care to those members of our local community who are receiving care from Wigan and Leigh Hospice.

Christine Edwardson, Community Fundraiser for the Hospice, said: “We are enormously grateful to the Freemasons of the Wigan and District Group for yet again supporting the Hospice. Their donation will be put to very good use, providing specialist care to our patients both on our Inpatient Unit and those living at home.”
