The Wigan fellowship held their December get-together at Pemberton Masonic hall, and being close to Christmas it was, as is the tradition, a festive occasion with a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings and typically festive entertainment.Ray Martland again impressed everyone with his musical talents, and Brenda Seddon and Margaret Brooks led everyone in a most entertaining carol singing session.

The Fellowship is always open to new members. It is open to any Brother retired from full-time employment or the wife of a retired Brother, any widow of a deceased Brother or the wife of a working Brother who has herself retired. All are more than welcome to enjoy good fellowship and listen to some very interesting talks. The Fellowship meets on the second Tuesday of the months of September through to June at Pemberton Masonic Hall at 2pm until about 4pm. Apart from the special Christmas party, the normal get-togethers are quite informal affairs, with interesting speakers and entertainers a regular feature. It is inexpensive, refreshments usually tea and coffee at 50 pence!
